Welcome to Rank & Fowl
Our mission is to bring postal workers together to better our working and living conditions.
A hub for activists
We hope this will be a place where we can meet others with similar interests.
A resource for letter carriers
It’s helpful to have a site that has links to whatever information you seek and it’s important to know what’s happening at other installations and in other unions.
A demonstration of what a union can be
Understanding our history will show us that we can win if we are united.
A support for other letter carriers
Whether it’s moral support, sharing information or physically standing up for each other this website can help us be there together.
An outlet for creativity
Everyone has different interests and there are a million ways to contribute.
A website for UNITY!
We welcome all workers, united across different trades and crafts – postal clerks, mail handlers, rural letter carriers, all unions, and anyone else that finds this site useful.
While the Rank & Fowl emerges most immediately from the many conflicts in organizing in one particular craft in a local region, our intentions are for this to be more than just a website of local, singular craft concern. Rather, we would like this publication to stretch far beyond, to those who share a similar mission: not merely to make a living, in the limited monetary sense, but to usher forward life. To this end we will not tolerate anything herein that constitutes an antagonism or antagonizing of the full bearing of life for another, whether by dint of blackness, gender, sexuality, religion, race, creed, color, disability, or the like.
(Note: Redundant though it may appear, blackness and race are not interchangeable; at various times, across various historical epochs, social orders have inscribed blackness as slaveness, race, gender, sexuality, disability, creed, class, and even currency).
